A mom's reaction

I'm carrying Amanda upstairs yesterday and she starts to act like she's going to throw up (by 10 am yesterday she'd already done it 10 times), so what do I do? Put my hand under her chin to catch it, of course! This normally wouldn't have been so bad, except I had two other 20 month olds at my feet climbing up the stairs. At that very moment, as I'm standing there with vomit in one hand and Amanda in the other, Melissa continues to climb up and Claire just stops. Turns around, sits down and just waits. Melissa is now at the top of the stairs, turns around and waves saying "Hi!" I'm still standing there with Claire at my feet, vomit in one hand and Amanda in the other. Nothing I say or do will get Claire to budge... So I step over Claire, take Amanda up, lock the gate, go back down to get Claire, come up and finally wash my hand. What would you have done???

To answer the two questions I know you have, Meredith was at preschool and Amanda is much better today. Took her to the pediatrician at 3pm (throw up count now at 15) and she got some medicine to help her stop vomiting and was able to keep down some fluids when we got home. Today she's starting to eat again - so far applesauce, saltines, green beans and vanilla wafers.
