Southpaw?

We may have a southpaw in our family! Well, at least part-time! Meredith definitely writes with her right hand, eats with her right hand, uses scissors with her right hand. Greg took her outside a few weeks ago to use her T-ball set, and he showed her how to hit right-handed. Meredith took the bat from him, walked around to the other side, and hit it left-handed. Over and over and over. And this weekend she did the same thing again - hit left-handed. Maybe she'll be like her Grandpa! A righty for most things, but a lefty in sports. Greg's thinking scholarship...

Maybe this has something to do with only being able to use her left hand when her right arm was broken and in a cast. During that time she used her left hand to eat and write and color, pretty successfully. But she switched back to her right hand a few weeks after the cast came off.

So far Amanda, Claire and Melissa all seem to be right-handed, but it may be too soon to tell!
