Pumpkin Patch

Yesterday the girls and I met my cousin Angela and her two kids, Layla and Brooks, at a pumpkin patch. What fun! The girls were immediate best friends, holding hands as they walked and played at the playground.

The petting zoo was a favorite spot - with a donkey and cow, 2 pot-bellied pigs, rabbits, chickens and a turtle named Speedy.

We enjoyed the hayride around the grounds. It's fun to have cousins so close in age!

It started raining on us, so we went to the covered area to paint pumpkins. Meredith's was all pink!

After leaving the pumpkin patch we stopped to get ice cream (thanks Uncle Bob!!), and the kiddos were quite a hit among the regulars. One lady spent several minutes talking to the kids and asking questions, another offered to babysit! After a round of hugs and high fives, we piled in the car to head home and Claire said, "That Brooks is one silly boy!"
