Meredith never forgets (anything!). An elephant never forgets. Meredith must be an elephant! It's amazing to me that a young 3 year old can remember so much. A couple months ago she told me about coming to visit me in the hospital while the babies were in my tummy (over 18 months ago!). We never talked about those things after the fact. And she still remembers. A few days ago Meredith asked why I had to go to the hospital. I told her I hadn't been since the babies were born, and she corrected me that we took the babies back to visit the doctors that took care of them while they were in the hospital. That was about 3 months ago and we hadn't talked about it since. I wish I could remember things that well! A few days ago Meredith told Greg that she remembered being in my tummy, and she just cried a lot in there. Not so sure her memory is that good, but it is pretty good!
The triplets are 17 months old today! Walking, running everywhere... they love to sit in Meredith's lap to bounce - Meredith gives them lap rides like we do at Gymboree. And Meredith's new favorite thing to do is play library. She gathers a stack of board books and "stamps" the inside cover and passes them out to Amanda, Claire and Melissa - reminding them to return them in 2 weeks. Since the triplets are really enjoying reading now, they really like this 'game'. What a great big sister!
