Growing Up!

I can't believe Amanda, Claire and Melissa are almost two! Just a few more days... Today we all came down the stairs together for the first time. Usually I carry two down, then run back up for number three. And of course Meredith is always right there to help out! :) Lately I've been teaching them to slide down, but only did one at a time for a while. Then would do two. Today I got brave and let all three girls slide down together at the same time! They slid down on their tummies - all side by side. So cute! As they get better I'll try to get a video of it.

Speaking of growing up, Amanda talks in complete sentences (or mostly complete sentences) almost all the time now. Claire does sometimes, but often strings several words together. Melissa is just starting to put a couple words together, but her vocabulary is really growing. Everyday it seems like I hear all of them say at least 2-3 new words.

And they love talking on the phone! Give me a call sometime, and they'll insist that they have a turn to chat. Yesterday I was on the phone and Amanda and Claire were sitting in my lap. Amanda was asking for a turn ("Right here, talk" and pointing to her ear) and Claire shook her finger and said, "No, Mommy's turn!" So cute! They love talking on the phone so much they often use their chicken nuggets as pretent phones during lunch. Another thing to watch out for - shoes, purses, phones, and all things pink and sparkly!
