Car Ride

A while back, I posted the script of the dialogue from a car ride with the girls. Not a long car ride, just a 15 minute drive to Gymboree. Need a refresher? Click here. I'd like to share the dialogue from our trip to drop Meredith off at school this morning. About a 10 minute car ride while the girls are eating their waffles:

Laura: Look at all those goats - mommas and babies!
Melissa: Maaaaaa!
Meredith: Oh I see the baby goats! I have a baby goat at home. When you get home she will be inside, but don't let her out. She's not supposed to go outside when I'm at school. Can you remember that? And don't forget she's a girl. Here's a note mom to help you remember. (she pretends to pass me a note)
[quiet for a minute or two while they munch on waffles - yes, I planned it that way]
Meredith: I love you Claire Bear!
Claire: Wuv wu!
Meredith: I love you Amanda Panda!
Amanda: Uv ooo!
Melissa: Wuv oo MayMay!
Meredith: Melissa said she loves me! I love you too Melissa!

Aren't they sweet?? :)
Not every car ride is this pleasant now, but they aren't nearly as chaotic as a few months ago. On the way home Melissa still stole Claire's sunglasses, and Amanda's baby fell on the floor and she got mad.... But you forget all about that part when you remember the conversation from the first car ride this morning.
