Summer fun, part 2

Meredith LOVES her roller skates. She's gotten quite good at skating around and will often wear them around the house for hours. She's getting better at skating outside on the concrete now that she's mastered skating on the wood and tiled floor inside. The little ones discovered her old 'trainer' skates a few weeks ago and had been arguing over whose turn it was, so I had been looking for a couple more pairs. But at $25 each pair - wow! So I looked on craigslist and ebay and found nothing much better, if anything at all. After looking for a couple weeks, a pair showed up on craigslist for $2! WOW! But it was in a small town about an hour away. I decided to call about the skates anyways, just to see if they could meet somewhere closer, thinking maybe they came into town some and could meet me. After talking for a few minutes I mentioned that I was actually looking for 2 pair of skates and the lady said, "I have two pair of skates! My husband just listed one pair." The second pair was a little nicer than the first, and in fact was an exact match to the pair we already have. She ended up driving 20 minutes to a "big" town in between us, and I drove 35-40 minutes. So for $7 and a little gas money, I got two pairs of skates - and 3 happy little girls.

Here's Melissa modeling the $2 skates!
Roller derby, here I come!
