Swim Lessons

The girls are spending the week in swim lessons - taught by a lady who is the coach at the public high school in our area. The lady is tough, but she gets them in the water and swimming. After Meredith's lessons last year at the Y (where she learned nothing after 8 lessons, and still hadn't put her head in the water), that is what I was wanting. The first day was tough. Lots of crying. Lots. But the second day they all got into the pool with no tears. Claire was very calm everytime it was her turn. When Amanda was crying during her turn, Claire very calmed said, "Amanda, you have to learn to swim. It's very important." So sweet. And Meredith was shouting from the other end of the pool, "Close your mouth, gurls!" (That's how it sounds when she says 'girls') Here's a video from today - day 3. Meredith was doing this yesterday too, but I didn't have the camera with me. I'll get more pictures and videos of the little ones to post after a few more days of lessons... today they were swimming about 4-5 feet from the teacher in the middle of the pool to the side - no floaties! Wow!
