Yesterday was Greg's birthday, so we had a small party for him when he got home from work. It started with his favorite dessert - which he has named Double Berry Goodness (
recipe here - I only use strawberries and blueberries). That was followed by a game of Blue's Clues! We even had a handy dandy notebook left over from Meredith's party.

Meredith hid three clues for Greg and he wrote them down: cards, wrapping paper, and a present. Then they sat down in Daddy's Thinking Chair and figured out that it was time for Daddy to open presents!

The girls decorated the wrapping paper for the big present - lots of little stickers (kept them busy for an hour!) and a few balloons colored in the corner.

There were also two small presents that Meredith had wrapped for Greg - this one I knew about - a piece of rope. Didn't make much sense to me until Greg opened it and Meredith said, "Daddy - I got you our jump rope!" They found it in the garage a few days ago and had gone outside to jump rope with it. Seems Meredith liked it so much she gave it to Daddy so they could do it again some time.

I didn't know what was in the second present Meredith wrapped for Greg, but when he opened it Amanda was excited! It was her 'special baby' which had been missing for 2 whole days!

Daddy's present was this lounge chair for the backyard - similar to what was on our cruise ship's deck 9 years ago! Claire, Meredith and Amanda sit in it to enjoy their milk.

Melissa sits in Daddy's big chair for a lap that she doesn't have to share (her favorite kind!).
Happy Birthday, Daddy-G!
