Big Girl Beds

We did it - finally moved Amanda and Claire out of their cribs! We moved Melissa out of her crib when we moved to our new house, because she was moving in a room with Meredith (and one of the cribs had been recalled!). But at that time, I didn't think the other two girls were quite ready for the transition... mostly I was afraid it would mean the end of nap time.

But Claire has been patiently waiting and asking nicely about her big girl bed for a while now, so we agreed to go ahead and make the move on one condition. A crib would stay in their room for naptime for Claire, and we'd move Amanda's crib to the guest room for her nap time.

First - Meredith and Melissa's room! Painted pink last time Grammy and Grandpa visited. The words on this wall say 'believe', 'imagine', and 'dream'.

Meredith's bed

And Melissa's bed. These two beds will make bunkbeds in a few years.

Amanda and Claire's room is a mirror image of Melissa and Meredith's room.

Claire's bed in front, and Amanda's bed by the purple wall. The window wall is yellow and the other three walls are purple. Again, Grammy and Grandpa painted them while they were visiting in November.

If you look closely at the quilts, they are the same for all four girls, except Melissa and Meredith's are pink and yellow and Claire and Amanda's are purple and lime green/yellow.

Claire's bed

This is the closet wall in Amanda and Claire's room. It's the same layout in Meredith and Melissa's room. An entire wall of closets! Two sets of double doors and in the middle of the doors is shelving behind the wall. Tons of storage - just what we need for four girls and all their clothes and shoes!
