Going on a Bug Hunt!

Meredith played the role of teacher today, helping her sisters make "binoculars" out of paper towel tubes. This is a craft that she made at school a couple weeks ago, and we've been saving paper towel tubes ever since! We finally had enough, so today Meredith 'instructed' me on how to put them together, and then the girls decorated their binoculars using markers. When everyone was finished, we went on a bug hunt! When we got outside, Meredith frequently came to a sudden stop and yelled, "One, Two, three - Look for Ladybugs!" So I'm guessing this is what Mrs. Karla did with her class at school. I finally convinced Meredith we could look for other things like flowers, birds, and leaves. The girls had a great time on our Bug Hunt, and I'm sure we'll take a few more walks with our binoculars this summer!
